In His Image and Likeness

creationGod made us to be intellectually capable and        emotionally able. That is when God created us, being originally all good, he knows that we are capable in responding to any stimuli with great intelligence and emotion.

But sometimes, human as we are, we tend to forego the all being rational part and incline more on being all-emotional. The preceding would serve as an insult to our God. For He did not just created us to rely on what we think is right, but to the criterion of rightness provided by the Bible.

When man first walked with God in the garden of Eden, one of the first responsibilities that God gave to him is to name all animals. And mind you, naming animals is not an ordinary activity. This would mean, that the idea therein  a process of binomial nomenclature is existing even before Carolus Linnaeus had discovered it. And you know how tiresome it is to name all animals? Consider looking at your seatmate and imagine naming him/her base on your first encounter, base on how his nose is presented, or the facial features and symmetry for that matter.  Would your rather say, Eureka! I found an endangered animal? The idea there is, naming them takes a toll on the intellectual aspect of a man.

Moreover, when God speaks to men during the early days, God spoke to them in language that is understandable and is not foreign. For the very reason, that God knows that we are able respond to whatever he wants to communicate.

  1. okay… nosebleed. -_-
But over all, it was truly interesting. 🙂
Most especially the part, “For He did not just created us to rely on what we think is right, but to the criterion of rightness provided by the Bible.”
It made me all the more value the importance of meditating His word.
    ^_^ thanks kuya Jai!
